Because of the design and multifunctionality of such laptops, low-profile, space-saving connectors for FPC/FFC and board to board connectors are required at the connection points in devices such as displays, subboards, keyboards, and modules.
Kyocera offers a wide range of products with improved robustness and workability, in addition to low-profile, space-saving products.

Development Background

Laptops come with a wide variety of connectors, making assembly complicated. Connectors that are resistant to damage are required because they can easily be damaged during assembly operations due to operational errors.

To meet these demands, Kyocera has developed FPC/FFC connectors with mechanisms that can withstand operational errors, improved workability for fitting flex cable in one action, and board to board connectors that are resistant to damage even when fitted in misaligned positions.
