The 5690 Series are Board to Board Connectors featuring a pitch of 0.635mm. Plug connectors are of the vertical (stacking) type, and receptacle connectors are offered in two types depending on the combination with plug connectors: vertical (stacking) type for connecting boards which are aligned in parallel directions, and right angle type for connecting boards in vertical directions. The floating structure of the plug connector has a movable range of ±0.5mm in the X and Y directions, thus improving contact reliability against misalignments in mating or vibrations. Furthermore, Kyocera’s proprietary contact structure removes foreign matter with concentrated load (wiping effect), thus realizing high contact reliability. These products can withstand high temperatures up to 125°C and are ideal for automotive equipment such as car navigation systems and millimeter-wave radars.

The 9072 Series were developed for use in stacking boards and consist of headers and receptacles. The height between adjacent boards can be set at 12, 15, 18 or 20mm. These products, featuring receptacles with a bottom entry and kinked headers, are equipped with guides for preventing incorrect fitting.

One-touch locking 6817 Series FPC/FFC connectors utilize a proprietary structure that enables quick, stable connections in a single insertion, removing a significant impediment to fully automated assembly. Since the actuator can be held open, it is possible to remove FPC/FFC with one hand, and it is also possible to mount the connector on a limited work space. 6817 Series connectors are space-saving: the vertical type that mounts perpendicular to the circuit board for vertical insertion is 5.32mm high on a PCB and 2.9mm wide, and the right-angle type mounting parallel to the board for horizontal insertion is 2.6mm high on a PCB and 5.9mm wide. These products newly feature a double-spring, multipoint contact which has resistance to atmospheric corrosion as well as a pliable spring characteristic with resistance to vibrations and shocks. Because of hermaphroditic metal to metal contacts, the connectors are free from plastic deformation and the dimensional accuracy is not affected, thus realizing long product life and high reliability. Overloads in insertion and draw outs are prevented with an anti-forcing design. These connectors have outstanding endurance.

The 8071 Series, featuring a pitch of 2.0mm, are hard metric board to board connectors developed for high-speed signals and EMI protection in computers, large network servers and telecommunication equipment conforming to IEC61076-4-101. These connectors support the Compact-PCI Bus system, specified by PICMG (PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group) as the standard bus for industrial board computers.
■AB Type The AB Type are connectors featuring 125 positions with the location guide optimized for high-density mounting and high pin counts in applications such as electric transmission systems. Specifications conform to the existing Multi-Line Module Connector series. In the A type (110 positions), multi-positioning has been achieved while maintaining the function of location guide by making the applied part of the coding key a signal line. Combining plugs from the 8071 Series and receptacles from the 8072 Series enable stacking type applications. -
8072
The 8072 Series are horizontal plug connectors used with receptacle connectors from the 8071 Series in order to form extender cards. These connectors feature five rows and have the following variations: A type which are 110-line press-in connectors with coding keys, and B type which are press-in connectors featuring 95, 110, or 125 lines without coding keys. Vertical receptacles are also available in the 8072 Series.

The 8073 Series are cable connectors designed to effectively catch signals emitted from the backplanes of connectors from the 8071 Series.. Shielded types for EMI / EMC control and non-shielded types are available.
Kyocera’s original design concept of stacking five-pin modules enables the expansion of pins in multiples of five. This structure also allows free combination of circuits in the field between the concentrating side and the branching side in multiples of five.
In addition, combining these connectors with our original two-cored coaxial cables designed for high-speed transmission enables simple arrangement of cables, thus resulting in the easy maintenance of equipment.

The 6407 Series is designed for miniature expansion card using wireless LAN, Wired LAN and WAN, it conforms to the PCI Express Mini Card Electromechanical SPEC (Mini-PCI Standard) provided by PCI-SIG alliance. We have normal direction (Top mount) type with H=3.75mm or 5.75mm, reverse direction (bottom mount) type with H=3.1mm, and reverse gull wing (mid mount) type which realize H=2.13mm very low profile by cutting into the printed circuit board.

The 6409 Series are connectors for DDR3 and DDR2 S.O. DIMM cards, which are compliant to JEDEC MO-268 and MO-224 standards. These products are 0.6mm pitch, SMT and vertical type connectors available with 204 positions (1.5V for DDR3) or 200 positions (1.8V for DDR2). Memory card boards can be securely fixed in the connectors due to arms on both ends which are raised by levers and fix the card boards when inserted.
