Compact Differential Output Oscillator for ADAS
Introducing Kyocera’s compact differential output oscillator for ADAS that is suitable for high-speed and large-capacity communications.
Overview
Introducing Kyocera’s compact differential output oscillator for ADAS that is suitable for high-speed and large-capacity communications.
The crystal component required for ADAS applications is a "compact differential output oscillator" that offers high frequency and resistance to noise.
Compact differential output oscillators are noise-resistant and do not disturb signals easily, thus contributing to in-vehicle communications that require high-speed, large-capacity communications.
Keywords
What is Noise Resistance?
Electronic noise or noise from a thermal cooling fan can disturb the signal from the oscillator. Too much noise can cause communication errors and signal transmission delays, resulting in low-capacity, low-speed communication.
By resisting such noise, the signal is less likely to be disturbed, enabling high-speed and large-capacity communication.
Differential Signal Source Required for Clock Oscillators
PCI Express and Ethernet use serial differential signals for high-speed, high-capacity signal transmission.
Therefore, the clock oscillator, which is the standard for high-speed transmission and synchronization control, requires high frequency and low noise, and requires a differential signal source.
Features of Small Differential Output Oscillators
Because of the low-voltage operation, the rise and fall time of the signal is very fast, enabling high-speed and large-capacity transmission.
Also, even when noise is applied, it is canceled by two signals, so it is resistant to noise.
