What is RBA?
RBA stands for Responsible Business Alliance. It is the world's largest corporate coalition dedicated to advancing social responsibility within global supply chains. Its mission is to promote sustainable value for workers, the environment, and business. . It includes companies from different industries, like electronics, retail, automotive, and toys. The alliance provides a Code of Conduct and assessment tools designed to support continuous improvement efforts.
What is a VAP audit?
VAP stands for Validated Assessment Program. It involves an assessment by a third-party organization certified by the RBA to verify whether business activities comply with the RBA Code of Conduct. The assessment covers areas such as labor, occupational health and safety, environment, ethics, and management systems. Certification status is determined based on the assessment score: 160 points or above: Silver, 180 points or above: Gold, 200 points (maximum): Platinum.
