Introducing Kyocera’s New Low-Phase Noise TCXO

Kyocera has developed a new compact low-phase noise temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) to handle high-speed and large-capacity communications such as the 5G and Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11ax). Based on a crystal resonator optimized using Kyocera's proprietary photolithography and plasma CVM technology (detailed here), phase noise reduction is achieved at the industry's highest class* for a 1612 size device.

Samples are already available. Mass production is planned to begin in 2024 Q2.

*As of April 2022, based on a survey by Kyocera.
