6288 Series 0.5mm, 1.0mm Pitch FPC/FFC Connector
The 6288 series 0.5mm, 1.0mm pitch, ZIF, right angle, lower contact type FPC/FFC connector was originally developed for automotive GPS/AV equipment. It is a customer favorite with a long history due to its many features such as heat resistance up to 125°C, vibration resistance, and multiple position options.

The 6288 series has identical cable requirements as the 6251/6801 series vertical type connectors. This allows the use of these connectors in combination as shown in the figure above, facilitating flexible mechanical design.

The 6288 series is a highly reliable 0.5mm/1.0mm pitch FPC/FFC connector that meets consumer, industrial, and automotive market requirements. This is one of our first secure locking products that ensures contact reliability when used in combination with tabbed FPC/FFC cable.
This connector series offers 8 to 80 positions, contributing to greater freedom in device design. Generally, when the number of pins increases, the insertion force and the force required to lock the actuator increase, but by adopting an actuator shape that matches the number of pins, it is possible to maintain a stable locking state with small pins and achieve a low operating force with large pins.
The contact spring design, which is the basis for contact reliability, effectively clamps the FPC/FFC cable using a sprung stabilizer, resulting in higher contact force and creep resistance within the low-profile 2.0mm product height.
