Mechanical shock
Any excessive mechanical shock shall not be applied to a capacitor.
(1) An impact on capacitors when dropped during handling.
(2) An impact on capacitors when bumped with a printed circuit boards, etc during handling.
Mechanical shock due to falling may cause damage or a crack in the ceramic dielectric of the capacitor.
Capacitors which have fallen shall not be used because the quality may have deteriorated and failure rate may
become higher.

Capacitors shall not be bumped with a printed circuit board, etc when handling.
When printed circuit boards are piled up or handled, a corner of the printed circuit board may hit the
capacitor and cause a damage or a crack which may leads to dielectric breakdown, wrong withstanding voltage or
low insulation resistance.
