전자기기의 컴팩트화, 고밀도화를 목표로 개발된 1.27mm피치의 소형2피스타입인 기판 대 기판커넥터입니다. 플러그·리셉터클 동일형상 한쪽 면 2점접촉 리프구조로 클릭감 있는 결합이 가능합니다. 5072시리즈는 5061시리즈 리셉터클커넥터와 결합하는 저삽발타입으로 개발되었습니다. 종래의 5061플러그와의 결합보다 삽입력이 약10％저하하여 긴 접촉거리와 시퀀셜접촉을 가능케 했습니다.
